TDIH November 13: The Vietnam War Memorial Is Dedicated
One of the greatest disgraces in American history was the way returning vets from Vietnam were treated by so many who stayed home from it. Vietnam vets were treated like trash by protesters who thought by spitting on them they would somehow end that conflict. But Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon seemed blind and deaf to what was really going on in Vietnam as well  as at home. Gerald Ford finally brought what remained of our military back home. And it was still 10 years before this wall was built. Here’s Ray with a stirring tribute to a wall that helped bring some wounded parts of America together again….
