Imagine a time when England took command of New York and kept that command for 8 years. That happened between 1776 and 1783. This is a day in 1776 when George Washington could have been easily captured and executed for what the British considered treason. Only because of 2 brothers who were in charge and let Washington and his soldiers slip through their hands did Washington survive.
