This Day In History January 12th: The Mystery of the Pyramids “Solved?”
We humans are funny. Most of us believe that there is no reason to go back into history to check on things or people because we’d rather do it ourselves. “We know so much more than they did.” The problem is that the ancient world often knew so much we have totally lost in time. Here’s a case in point:

In 1984, needed restoration began on the pyramids in Egypt. But as those who were working to restore them began their work they realized their modern techniques were destructive rather than restorative to these ancient monuments. So the workers stopped and began to examine the inside of the pyramids much more closely. They think they discovered how the pyramids were built and they began to go on their theory and use ancient methods to do the repairing. It worked.
